Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist - Level 2 to join our team at the University of Miami UHealth System, Department of Radiology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing complex procedures in Mammography, operating radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images with minimal radiation exposure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures.
  • Supervise and perform diagnostic imaging studies under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Assist with the education and training of new physicians.
  • Participate in research initiatives and develop new protocols and imaging techniques.
  • Act as a team leader and monitor charging of procedures and supplies daily.
  • Provide in-service classes and demonstrate equipment for site visits.
  • Obtain and examine orders for Mammography scans, ensuring appropriateness and notifying supervisors of discrepancies.
  • Identify patient service requirements and verify patient IDs, obtaining necessary consents and education.
  • Perform complex specialized tasks associated with Mammography scanners and related equipment, adhering to radiation safety procedures.
  • Integrate diagnostic, laboratory results, patient history, and medical records to adapt exams as necessary.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology/Diagnostic Imaging Program.
  • Valid State of Florida License as a General Radiographer.
  • ARRT registered with ARRT certification in Mammography required.
  • CPR and BLS certification required.
  • Three years of relevant experience required.
