Medical Assistant II, Certified Professional

The UNC Health Care team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Medical Assistant II to join our White Oak practice. This role plays a vital part in supporting our healthcare providers by rooming patients, managing in-baskets, handling incoming calls, processing prior authorizations, and organizing documents, all while delivering exceptional customer service.
">- We offer a competitive salary of $20.40 - $26.92 per hour (Hiring Range) based on experience and internal equity.
- This position requires at least one year of full-time experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified, and certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Health Career Association (CCMA), National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA).
This role will work under the clinical supervision of the provider for patient care activities, and under the general direction of the designated manager/supervisor. You will assist the provider as directed, during treatments, examinations and procedures, and perform routine clinical and administrative support tasks in an outpatient clinic setting.
