Position Overview
  • Travel Role: This is a travel nursing position focused on the Radiologic Technology specialty.
  • Patient Care: Responsibilities include caring for patients diagnosed with COVID-19.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to float to different areas as needed.
  • Clinical Support: A clinical checklist will be provided to assist in patient care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with interventional radiologists during procedures.
  • Assist in the surgical aspect of procedures by scrubbing in and circulating within the procedure room.
  • Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment efficiently.
  • Maintain proficiency in radiography and other imaging specialties for cross-coverage.
  • Evaluate patients in relation to the requested procedures.
  • Analyze data to determine the most effective and economical methods for procedures.
  • Educate patients, families, and healthcare providers about the procedures.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Document all patient care and radiologic services rendered.
  • Provide direct assistance during angiographic and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Manage inventory for vascular and interventional supplies.
  • Produce medical images adhering to departmental protocols.
  • Ensure images are properly labeled with necessary information.
  • Confirm that the area of interest is imaged according to established protocols.
  • Distinguish between artifacts and normal pathological processes.
  • Assess the need for repeat or additional imaging.
Job Qualifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred.
  • Procedure Skills: Capability to perform all phases of Interventional Radiologic procedures, including assisting as an IR scrub tech.
  • EPIC Experience: Familiarity with EPIC is preferred but not required.
  • Education: Graduate of an AMA-accredited radiologic technology program.
Work Schedule
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm.
  • On-call Requirements: Must be available for on-call coverage during weekdays or weekends.
  • Response Time: 30-minute response time for on-call duties.
  • Weekly Hours: Expected to work 40 hours per week.

  • Candidates who have been employed as permanent hires at any WellSpan site within the past year are not eligible.
  • Flu vaccination is required from September 7 to April 30.
