Tank Farm Operator I- Fuels Attendant Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tank Farm Operator I- Fuels Attendant to join our team at Olgoonik Corporation. As a key member of our fuel division, you will be responsible for operating our fuel station, delivering fuel products to commercial entities, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the fuel station, including conducting daily inspections of tanks and piping, managing dispenser meter readings, and setting up the register and pumps.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, including collecting monies for purchases, preparing receipts, and documenting sales.
  • Maintain a clean and organized office environment, including stocking and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Deliver fuel products via our F550 truck with a 100- or 500-gallon tank, and assist with deliveries utilizing our NSB Tanker.
  • Close out the cash register and complete daily reports, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform monthly inventory counts, including dips, and meter readings, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Set up and maintain job site safety equipment and fire extinguishers as required, prioritizing the safety of yourself and others.
  • This is a non-standard work week, with periodic overtime required. You must be able to handle call-outs on a rotational basis.
  • Other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
  • Experience following verbal and written instructions, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Bookkeeping and fuel station experience, with a solid understanding of mathematics and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Willingness and ability to perform manual work, following verbal and written instructions, and to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Periodic overtime may be required, and you must be able to handle call-outs on a rotational basis.

  • Competitive pay ($26-$29 per hour) with food and lodging provided.
  • Rotational schedule (4 weeks on/2 weeks off), allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Work Environment:

As a Tank Farm Operator I- Fuels Attendant, you will work in a rural Alaskan environment, with exposure to extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions. You will be required to work indoors and outdoors, in all types of weather, including snow, rain, sleet, extreme winds, or ice storms. You may be required to work near moving mechanical parts and/or vibration, and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles or electrical shock hazards.
