Job Title: Operational Risk Management Senior Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Risk Management Senior Analyst to join our team at Resolution Life. As a key member of our risk management team, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks that could impact our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of our risk management framework to ensure effective risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
  • Support the implementation of our ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (GRC) tool to automate governance, compliance, and risk management processes.
  • Train business partners on the proper use of the GRC tool to facilitate its adoption and rollout.
  • Provide oversight and challenge to the business on operational risk, design, and effective operations of controls, including risk and control self-assessments.
  • Perform independent testing and assessments across various processes, documenting testing methods and results, and drafting final reports to management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners to ensure effective risk management and control implementation.
  • Monitor issues within the GRC to ensure prompt remediation and control implementation.
  • Perform in-depth and comprehensive gap analyses to determine the root cause of process gaps.
Requirements:
  • 7 or more years' combined experience in financial services Operational Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Audit, Financial Controls, and/or Compliance.
  • 5 years' experience performing risk assessments.
  • 3 years' experience with managing GRC tools and implementations (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex business processes, analyze potential risks, and think outside the box to recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Highly disciplined, able to make independent decisions, and work with limited supervision.
  • Experience in leading and delivering cross-functional initiatives, with the ability to collaborate with business and functional experts to provide risk assessment guidance, recognize risks, and design enhancements.
  • Proven track record of fostering relationships across all levels and operating through influence to formulate, advocate, and drive ideas forward.
  • Proficiency in automated reporting tools, Microsoft Office suite of products.

Travel:

Some travel may be required up to 15%

These estimates consider a wide range of factors in making base salary decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. In addition to salary, Resolution Life US offers a comprehensive benefits package, including our health & wellness program, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The range for the role may differ based on the location.

  • Des Moines, IA, Minneapolis, MN, Atlanta, GA, and Charlotte, NC: $116,800 - $142,700
  • New York City: $135,100 - $165,100
