Job Title: Brio Sous Chef - Hourly

Are you a culinary expert looking for a challenging role in a dynamic kitchen environment? We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Earl Enterprises.

Job Summary:

The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen and kitchen personnel, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. This role requires a strong understanding of kitchen operations, menu planning, and staff management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Ensure the highest quality of food preparation and presentation, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu items and promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, menu planning, and staff management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
