Position Overview:

The Armed Patrol Officer at Signal will be responsible for conducting thorough patrols of designated areas, including courtyards, offices, and other high-value locations, ensuring all access points are secure and that the safety of property and residents is maintained with meticulous attention to detail.

Work Schedule:

Full-time or part-time positions are available, primarily during overnight hours. Example shifts may include:

  • 7 PM - 5 AM (flexible ending time)
  • 9 PM - 5 AM
  • 12 PM - 12 AM

Compensation:

Starting pay is $17 per hour for armed positions and $18 per hour for overnight armed roving patrol officers.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Open availability for night and weekend shifts is preferred; day shift availability is limited.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and appropriate security licenses (D and G).
  • Clean driving record is required.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Must have a working smartphone capable of downloading and using necessary applications.
  • Confidence and comfort in verbal de-escalation techniques are essential.
  • Applicants must provide their own gear, including a duty belt, level 3 holster, vest, and firearm (firearm not required at the interview).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various vehicle and foot patrols, ensuring compliance with site-specific instructions and post orders.
  • Prepare detailed reports using company technology during each shift.
  • Arrive punctually for shifts and adhere to time commitments and appearance standards.
  • Engage with internal and external customers to foster a positive service relationship.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any property-related concerns.
  • Maintain the assigned patrol vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
  • Manage daily activities to meet benchmarks set by the Branch Patrol Supervisor.
  • Utilize effective communication to de-escalate situations professionally.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Successful completion of background checks and drug tests.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Completion of training modules within the first month of employment.
  • Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
