Mondelēz International is seeking a skilled Stationary Engineer Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of high-speed processing and packaging equipment, facilities, and utilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including troubleshooting and analyzing root causes.
- Conduct preventative maintenance schedules using computerized maintenance systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to identify and solve problems.
- Communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, and peers on a shift-to-shift basis.
- Ensure execution of safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of classes at the IUOE Local Union.
- Served and satisfactorily completed an approved Apprenticeship or Training.
- Universal Refrigeration License.
- 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Able to learn and apply Continuous Improvement tools (TPM, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Strong soft skills regarding training and communication for knowledge transfer.
- Experience with high-speed packaging lines and production equipment in food processing, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Familiar with SAP – PM, work order, and asset creation/management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment with varying temperatures.
- Ability to climb steps, lift 50 pounds, and maintain balance.
- Ability to work from ladders and lifts.
