Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees designated departments within the facility, ensuring all tasks are performed effectively.
  • Maintains cleanliness, implements 5S practices, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborates closely with the Production Scheduler to grasp production needs and provide timely feedback on identified gaps.
  • Ensures teams adhere to established fabrication plans and contributes to enhancing work efficiency.
  • Plans and manages labor effectively to guarantee smooth execution of tasks.
  • Implements schedules with a focus on safety, quality, punctuality, impact, and cost management.
  • Responsible for mentoring and evaluating the performance of area leads and team members.
  • Actively engages in the recruitment, selection, training, and development of new employees in the department.
  • Provides direction, supervises effectively, offers performance counseling, and trains when necessary.
  • Initiates disciplinary actions when required.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure clarity on company policies and communicates these to production teams.
  • Works with Human Resources to address issues as they arise.
  • Keeps thorough documentation on all projects within assigned areas.
  • Maintains regular communication with employees, encouraging their input in problem-solving.
  • Participates actively in the safety program, identifying and correcting unsafe behaviors.
  • Ensures compliance with EHS policies and guidelines within the department.
  • Coaches, trains, and monitors employee performance concerning safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of lean methodologies and six sigma principles.
  • Knowledge of operational effectiveness and management principles.
  • Familiarity with business and financial concepts.
  • Exceptional communication skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Highly organized and analytical.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities.
