Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Director to join our team at the YMCA of Central Ohio. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement facility maintenance plans and budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director.
  • Direct and supervise a team of maintenance staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Conduct regular building walk-throughs to identify and address maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including work orders, maintenance schedules, and compliance reports.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Seven years of related experience in facilities management, with a focus on maintenance and repair.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work at various locations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • YMCA Team Leader certification (or willingness to obtain within 24 months).
