Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients by adhering to established clinic protocols.
- May execute specialized nursing tasks pertinent to the specific area of practice.
- Secure patient consent for treatment while ensuring confidentiality is maintained.
- Gather and document health history, including chief complaints, vital signs, and health risk factors, while assessing disease conditions.
- Provide patient care in accordance with practice guidelines, standards of care, and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Implement prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administer medications, and monitor and document patient progress and responses. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing and administering injections, conducting routine tests, treating wounds, and changing dressings. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to address any issues or concerns.
- Educate patients and their families on health status, maintenance, and management of both acute and chronic conditions.
- Document patient assessments and interventions using established medical record systems and practices.
- Engage in multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care processes and outcomes.
- Monitor quality assurance data and oversee acute and chronic care management.
Qualifications Required:
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
- Possession of a current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse License from the state licensing authority.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS).
