Position: Quality Assurance Inspector

Compensation: Up to $20.00/Hour

Sign-On Bonus: $1,500

Shift Differential: $2.00/hr.

Shift Availability: All 3 shifts are open for this role.

Classification: Non-Exempt/Hourly

IES Infrastructure is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to enforce our established safety protocols and supervise the manufacturing process, ensuring that all products align with our rigorous quality benchmarks. The ideal candidate will be tasked with conducting inspections and tests at various production stages to verify compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards.

Compensation is based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct inspections on the production floor and in designated areas.
  2. Repair, replace, and calibrate measuring tools and gauges as necessary.
  3. Execute assigned duties, including:
    1. Routine Inspections
    2. Final Quality Checks
    3. Management of gauge sign-in/out for production
    4. Certification testing for tanks
    5. Placement of U/L Labels
    6. Other tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager or their designee
  4. Support customer testing requirements (sound, operational, water, etc.).
  5. Maintain an inventory of quality assurance materials (tags, paperwork, etc.).
  6. Assist production teams with engineering or customer-related inquiries.
  7. Perform any additional tasks as directed by the Quality Manager or their designee.
  8. Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Required Skills:
  1. Exceptional communication and listening abilities.
  2. Proven understanding of industry safety standards and quality expectations.
  3. Familiarity with welding and sheet metal processes is preferred but not mandatory.
  4. Ability to work independently.
  5. Strong attention to detail.
  6. Excellent visual acuity.
  7. Effective communication skills with production staff and management.
