Truck Mechanic Job Description

Enterprise Products Partners is seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team. As a Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing mechanical functions and duties to maintain high levels of safe and productive equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Repair Equipment: Inspect and repair all mechanical equipment to ensure safe and productive operation.
  • Complete Work Records: Complete all records of work performed and comply with Federal, State, and company rules and regulations.
  • Test Drive Vehicles: Test drive vehicles that have been repaired to ensure all repairs were properly performed.
  • Perform Regulatory Inspections: Perform vehicle inspections that meet the qualifications & requirements stipulated in Section of the FMCSR.
  • Use Diagnostic Equipment: Use diagnostic equipment, welding and cutting machines, tire mounting, replacement, and repairing equipment.
  • Maintain Equipment: Maintain all equipment to the highest quality, in a timely manner, while keeping cost at a minimum.
  • Participate in Training: Participate and successfully complete training programs, process safety management reviews, and safety meetings required to comply with state and federal regulations.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Must have technical skills in mechanical repair and maintenance.
  • Communication Skills: Must have excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
  • Time Management: Must be able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
