Drape Kings is seeking a skilled Carpet Mechanic to join our team of experts in the event industry. As a Carpet Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in helping us raise the standard of our live events.

Responsibilities
  • Install and seam edges of carpet using tape or iron
  • Cut and trim carpet to fit along wall edges, openings, and projections
  • Plan the layout of the carpet, taking into account expected traffic patterns and placing seams for optimal appearance
  • Review floor plans or specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure work site dimensions
  • Estimate material requirements for installations
  • Be comfortable working with tools and possess good math, planning, and visualization skills
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in carpet installation
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience with handling tools
  • Able to observe safety and security procedures and report any potentially unsafe conditions
