About the Role

X-energy LLC is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Xe-100 Systems Development team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, and executing small to medium-scale projects with a budget of ~$5 million - $25 million, which support the achievement of large-scale project and/or high-level program deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project baseline documentation, ensuring consistency with business and corporate processes and policies.
  • Coordinate inputs and performance commitments from matrixed departments, including Finance, Subcontracts/Procurement, Engineering, Licensing, Quality/Safety, etc.
  • Coordinate across related/dependent projects where common customers, designs, and/or documentation exist.
  • Review and approve business analyses and determination of 'make/buy' and subcontracting decisions.
  • Make decisions on recommended technical and programmatic approaches to achieve contract goals and requirements.
  • Manage performance of subcontractors, partners, and internal staff through interim reports, status meetings, documentation, design reviews, and deliverables.
  • Manage project performance measures, including risk management, scheduling, document management, cost adherence, and technical performance measures.
  • Define deliverable acceptability and communicate through process control, interface, and performance documentation.
  • Actively support the safety culture and ensure integration of quality in all relevant processes.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field.
  • Typically, ten plus years' experience as an engineer and/or engineering manager in the energy/nuclear/petrochemical or high-technology hardware or software system development industry.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Experience in end-to-end complex system development, from concept to qualified hardware/system delivery.
  • Experience working under nuclear regulatory codes or another strict QA program.
