Job Summary:

As a Project Engineer at Barton Malow, you will play a critical role in the success of our construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, develop, coordinate, supervise, and monitor on-site construction engineering activities. You will act as a liaison with architects, engineers, and owners to ensure project progress and changes are properly managed.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for resolving project issues
Support superintendents in ensuring contractors maintain schedules in the field
Assist in processing submittals and RFIs as needed
Support procurement in distributing bidding documents and tracking bidders
Assist in managing project schedules
Prepare meeting agendas and lead meetings
Assist with planning and managing site logistics
Enforce corporate safety policies on the jobsite
Receive and review/evaluate contractor quotations for changes and process change orders
Manage plan review and approval processes with local and state municipalities

Requirements:

4-year Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree required
3 to 5 years of professional and/or related construction internship experience required
Focus or experience preferred working with Steel and/or Concrete
OSHA 30 Hour preferred
Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to be self-directed to problem-solve issues
Strong organizational skills applied to Document Control and Close Out
Strong proactive positive attitude with commitment to Safety
