Job Title: Information Security Analyst

Erie County, NY is seeking a highly skilled Information Security Analyst to join our team. As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our computer systems and network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement enterprise security policies and procedures
  • Monitor enterprise compliance with information technology security policies and procedures
  • Deploy information technology security controls and processes
  • Monitor information technology systems, networks, and processes for security events
  • Participate in risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities or security exposures
  • Implement vulnerability management, including virus protection and version/patch management
  • Establish intrusion detection and data loss prevention programs
  • Collaborate in planning for infrastructure design and review of software acquisitions/ upgrades
  • Review applications and services supplied by information technology service providers for appropriate level of security controls
  • May instruct the workforce on best procedures for information technology security
  • Monitor information technology logs and reports
  • Document and monitor security controls, reports, and processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or closely related field
  • Three years of experience in systems software, systems analysis, or application programming, and included experience in information security
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or closely related field and five years of experience in systems software, systems analysis, or application programming, of which three years was experience in information security
