Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Sonographer to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our Heart and Vascular Institute, you will play a critical role in providing diagnostic imaging services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasound imaging and therapeutic services, including echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds.
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop imaging plans to ensure optimal results.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and safety.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and vascular surgeons to develop and implement imaging protocols.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality imaging services.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff on cardiovascular procedures and imaging techniques.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate of an accredited medical sonography program.
  • Certification in two of the following: Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS).
  • Five years of experience in cardiac and vascular sonography.
