We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Astrix Technology. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
Key Responsibilities:- Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures, including identifying and replenishing testing bench supplies as necessary.
- Assist with processing of specimens when needed, and conduct and document preventive maintenance and quality control.
- Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment, following SOPs, and make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls, and report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology preferred; open to MLT certificate.
- 2-4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience, with experience in Blood Banking required.
- ASCP or AMT certification required, along with strong attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to pass a standardized color vision screen.
