Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Centinela Hospital Medical Center is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic, cat scan, mammography, bone density, ultra sound, or special procedures according to department protocols.

You will be the first line interface with customers and will be successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs. You will participate in PI/ QC activities, assist in maintaining performance improvement programs, and oversee radiology areas and/or staff in the manager's/director's absence.

You will be responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS, and will do scheduling for assigned sub-departments and maintain supplies and equipment for assigned sub-departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic, cat scan, mammography, bone density, ultra sound, or special procedures according to department protocols.
  • Function as the first line interface with customers and be successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs.
  • Participate in PI/ QC activities.
  • Assist in maintaining performance improvement programs.
  • Oversee radiology areas and/or staff in the manager's/director's absence.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
  • Effective July 1, 2017, appropriate national certifications in two modalities required.
  • Current BCLS (AHA).
  • Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.
  • One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred.
  • Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES.
  • Proficient computer skills.
