Position Overview

FULL TIME 2nd SHIFT YARD JOCKEY

At NK Parts Industries Inc, we are seeking a dedicated individual to fulfill the role of Yard Jockey. This position is essential for maintaining the flow of operations within our yard, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tractor Trailer Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in operating tractor trailers is required.
  • Trailer Maneuvering: Ability to back trailers into designated receiving areas with precision.
  • Spotting Trailers: Competence in dropping and positioning trailers as needed.
  • Yard Truck Operation: Responsible for the delivery, pickup, and relocation of products and materials using a yard truck.
  • Navigation Skills: Skilled in maneuvering trailers in tight spaces and around corners.
  • Dock Positioning: Ensure proper positioning of trailers at the dock, including opening and securing trailer doors.
  • Additional Duties: Perform related tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support overall operations.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands and feet for handling items.
  • Ability to reach with hands, arms, feet, and legs.
  • Frequent stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be necessary.
  • Regular lifting or moving of items up to 30 pounds, with occasional lifting of 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Note: All duties must be performed onsite in person.
