Key Duties of Home Care Aides/Caregivers include:

  • Provide individualized care and support to seniors, children, veterans, and individuals with disabilities to ensure their comfort and safety at home.
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
  • Support mobility, transfers, and exercises to maintain physical health.
  • Administer medication reminders, keep accurate records of client conditions, and communicate any concerns to a supervisor.
  • Ensure a safe living environment with unobstructed pathways.
  • Engage clients in enjoyable activities such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies to promote mental well-being.

Qualifications for Home Care Aides/Caregivers:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and valid Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in California.
  • Preferred six (6) months of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certification in CPR.
  • Valid California driver's license, vehicle insurance, and dependable transportation.
  • Current TB screening.
  • Compassionate and kind demeanor, strong communication skills, and the capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
