Position Overview: Morrison Inc. is seeking an accomplished Executive Leader to steer our agricultural operations in Northern California. The individual in this role will oversee the strategic, administrative, and financial aspects of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Formulate annual operational strategies aligned with the vision set by the Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with the board to articulate the company’s mission and devise strategies for achieving it.
  • Develop and assess long-term strategies to ensure the organization’s financial sustainability.

Leadership and Management:

  • Foster a workplace culture that embodies the organization’s values, promotes high performance, and recognizes achievements.
  • Recruit, mentor, and oversee sales and key management personnel to ensure optimal team selection.
  • Establish accountability across the organization, encouraging innovative problem-solving and cost management.
  • Stay current with management and leadership best practices to enhance personal skills.

Financial Oversight:

  • Implement and maintain an accounting framework to guarantee precise reporting to stakeholders.
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure timely fulfillment of corporate obligations.
  • Manage banking relationships and facilitate debt and equity financing.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate critical elements of the company’s risk profile.
  • Develop and supervise internal controls to protect company assets and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Oversee customer credit limits and ensure compliance with payment terms.
  • Manage insurance policies, including coverage and risk retention strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards, including food safety and employee safety programs.

Community Engagement:

  • Adopt a service-oriented approach towards producers and shareholders, ensuring transparency in all interactions.
  • Act as the primary representative of the organization, fostering relationships within the community and industry.
  • Ensure that the organization’s mission is consistently communicated in a positive manner to all stakeholders.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, along with over 10 years of progressive management experience in agricultural settings or producer-owned enterprises.

Compensation: This role offers a competitive salary range of $225,000 to $275,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with bonus potential. Additional benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement contributions.
