Job Summary

Accede Solutions Inc is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Mattoon, IL. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Management: Assemble, check, and maintain respiratory equipment to ensure proper function and identify malfunctions.
  • Patient Assessment: Collect and evaluate clinical information to assess patient cardiopulmonary status and develop an effective respiratory care plan.
  • Therapeutic Procedures: Conduct procedures to achieve adequate ventilation, maintain airway patency, and remove bronchial secretions.
  • Plan Development: Determine the appropriateness of prescribed respiratory care plans and recommend modifications as needed.
  • Patient Education: Explain care plans, therapy, and goals to patients and maintain records of communication.
  • Emergency Response: Initiate, conduct, or modify respiratory care techniques in emergency settings.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to maintain expertise and provide high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in adult critical care, emergency department, or neonatal/pediatric settings.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC, and Cerner experience.
  • Licensure: Active Illinois state license.
