Traveling Catheterization Laboratory Technologist

Job Summary:
Summit Medical Staffing Allied is seeking a skilled Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in California. As a Cath Lab Tech, you will be responsible for assisting in the performance of diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the cath lab, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the procedure, positioning the patient, and applying necessary restraints.
- Assist the physician during procedures, including injecting contrast media, monitoring the patient's vital signs, and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Operate imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopy and ultrasound machines, to capture high-quality images.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with a specialty in cardiovascular technology.
- 2+ years of experience in a cath lab setting, with a strong understanding of cardiovascular procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
