The Miami VA Healthcare System is a comprehensive medical provider, offering a wide range of services including general medical, surgical, and mental health care. The facility is recognized for its excellence in various specialties and is equipped with modern technology to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Emergency Room Nurse, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Conducting triage to assess incoming patients effectively, considering physical, infectious, and mental health conditions.
2. Collecting patient history and relevant family medical history.
3. Monitoring vital signs including height, weight, temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure.
4. Administering medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed.
5. Documenting care plans and patient interactions in medical records.
6. Communicating critical patient information to the healthcare team.
7. Participating in discharge planning and patient education regarding medications and therapies.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
1. Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
2. Current nursing license in at least one U.S. state or territory.
3. Certification in CPR and ACLS.
