We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic B to join our team at Republic Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a working knowledge of vehicle components and systems, including chassis, refuse bodies, engines, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
- Perform preventative and repair maintenance functions, both on-site and on the road.
- Identify the source of malfunctions using electronic tools and complete applicable company training programs.
- Safely provide road service when necessary to ensure equipment is returned to operation in a safe and efficient manner.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel powered equipment diagnosis and repair.
- Ability to perform basic inspections with limited supervision in heavy truck or automotive systems.
- Valid driver's license and commercial driver's license (CDL) a plus.
