Healthcare Support Specialist

ECHN, a small community hospital, offers an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide essential support to patients by assisting with their daily living needs under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer skills are also necessary. We offer a competitive salary of $5,000 per month, plus benefits that include generous vacation time, sick leave, 401(k), medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and employee assistance programs.
In this role, you will perform patient care tasks, including admission, transfer, and discharge of patients. You will also assist with documentation of data and maintain accurate medical records. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide general aspects of patient care that meet physical and/or psychosocial needs, within the nursing assistant's scope of practice.
- Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
- Maintain accurate and clear communication to patients, families, and other employees at all times.
- Perform additional competencies to enhance coordination and collaboration of patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Successful completion of certified nursing assistant program is preferred but not required.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment with ECHN in this role.
