GENERAL FUNCTION
The Optician Team Supervisor generates remarkable value in the lives of customers and patients by delivering outstanding service. Ensures that customers and patients are consistently satisfied. Contributes to the store's success by managing essential optical and lab processes (if applicable) and systems to achieve exceptional outcomes.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
While engaged in Retail
Guarantee that the LensCrafters team delivers unparalleled Customer Service Proactive and solution-oriented, precise execution, and comprehensive product knowledge Assist customers with selections, provide recommendations, and support sales associates Act as a responsible alternate store key holderUnder a current and valid state Opticianry license, perform the following: offer expertise and product knowledge on lens options based on the patient's vision requirements and OD prescription, adjust and/or repair eyewear as necessary, present and dispense eyewear, and conduct accurate digital measurements.
While engaged in Lab, if applicable
Custom fit glasses and accurately place prescriptions in lenses Collaborate with associates to enhance their knowledge, skills, and certification regarding foundational product and store processes related to lens and lab technology Ensure that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer specifications Foster a safe working environment for all, demonstrating safe work practices Responsible for the basic operation, cleaning, and ongoing maintenance of lab tools and systemsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma/GED Current and valid state Opticianry license Strong optical and retail experience Knowledge of contemporary optical theory and merchandise Excellent communication and listening skills Strong interpersonal abilities Proficient basic math skills Sales capabilities Problem-solving aptitude Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators Leadership and training experience Edging and mounting expertise Basic optics knowledge and optical measurement experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification in non-licensed states LensCrafters Final Eyewear Inspector Certification LensCrafters Quality, Fitting, and Adjusting Program Experience with optical machinery/instruments Customer service experience AccuFit Digital Measurement System certification Familiarity with current store merchandise and lens optionsPay Range:
