About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Team Leader to join our team at Target. As a Food Service Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of hourly team members, ensuring excellent guest service, and driving sales growth in the Food & Beverage department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of hourly team members, providing coaching, training, and feedback to ensure excellent guest service and sales growth.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of merchandise, to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize losses.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive sales growth and meet or exceed sales targets, including analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain a safe and clean store environment, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, and adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team Leader and other department leaders to achieve business objectives, share best practices, and provide support as needed.
  • Participate in onboarding and training programs to develop skills and knowledge, and stay up-to-date on company policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior retail experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 44 pounds, stand for long periods, and move merchandise efficiently and safely.
