Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Join Medix as a Field Service Engineer and play a critical role in maintaining high-quality medical imaging equipment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot high-end medical imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Establish and adhere to preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain customer service logs and internal service records to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Solve complex issues with medical imaging applications, electrical components, computer hardware, and software, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform service, calibrations, and quality assurance checks for entire imaging systems in accordance with ISO13485 standards.
Technical Support:
  • Deliver technical support on high-end medical imaging equipment online and via telephone to ensure timely resolution and follow-up.
  • Communicate daily with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
  • Maintain system performance by performing system monitoring and evaluation, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
Applications Support:
  • Interact regularly with radiologists, technicians, physicians, and other medical professionals to stay up-to-date on new and existing imaging solutions, issues, and trends.
Software Support:
  • Provide continuous uptime support for applications software issues associated with the X-ray and Vascular modalities.
  • Utilize Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) for viewing, filming, archiving, networking, and database administration.
  • Prepare users by designing and conducting training programs, providing software support and reference.
  • Supply online and telephone support for Windows and Linux.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of high-end medical imaging equipment maintenance and repair experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license. Must have a safe driving record based on company policies.
  • Basic computer skills; understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as needed to support a 24/7 schedule.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to support business needs.
  • The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 75 pounds.
  • The ability to often bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
