Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care, administer dialysis treatments, and educate patients and families about end-stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet, and medications.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering dialysis treatments, monitoring treatment parameters, and documenting patient information.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including teaching patients and families about dialysis therapy, diet, and medications.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care, including communicating with physicians, dietitians, and social workers.
- Participate in staff meetings, in-service classes, and other educational opportunities to stay current on dialysis principles and techniques.
- Assist with emergency procedures, including CPR and responding to emergency situations related to dialysis treatment.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN, LVN)
- Current appropriate State licensure
- One year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required
- ICU experience preferred but not required
- Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis
- Successfully complete CPR Certification
