Job Summary:

The Assembler/Bundler plays a crucial role in the production process at Alsco Uniforms, receiving pressed or folded textiles from flatwork machines and preparing them for transfer to assembling areas of the facility. This position is sometimes referred to as a Catcher, Wrapper, or Table Operator.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive items from flatwork machines and sort them by quantity, size, and color.
  • Grade items according to quality standards and prepare them for bundling.
  • Bundle items according to type, size, or packing slip requirements.
  • Transfer items to Assembling areas via cart, belt, shelves, or other.
  • Meet efficiency and safety standards for the position and follow instructions as directed by supervision.
Requirements:
  • Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately.
  • Recognize, inspect, and grade product.
  • Comprehend and follow written packing instructions and verbal direction.
  • Meet physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting up to 25 lbs., and stooping.
Working Conditions:

The Assembler/Bundler will work in production areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, which includes working with and around large machinery, variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust.
