About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team at Plainridge Park Casino. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service (70%)
    • Prepare and pour drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipes.
    • Communicate effectively with other team members and present drinks to guests or team members as required.
    • Provide fast, friendly, and professional service to guests, using their names, and team members.
  • Property Knowledge (20%)
    • Operate a cash register/Micros POS System, ringing the proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change.
    • Account for all cash, charge, and complimentary sales according to established procedure.
    • Maintain knowledge of beverage program, venue offerings, pricing, etc. to provide consistent service.
  • Other (10%)
    • Operate and maintain all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
    • Prep for shifts using guidance of prep lists and management direction as required.
    • Perform any job duty needed to promote productivity in the efficient administration of business, or any reasonable request made by your supervisor or management personnel.
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Read, write legibly, understand, and speak English.
  • Excellent customer service/communication skills.
  • Count money and change correctly.
  • Knows cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques.
  • Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, etc. as needed.
  • Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
  • Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
  • Able to work in constricting areas.
  • Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights.
  • Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.
