Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse/RN to join our team at Franciscan Ministries. As a Senior Care Specialist, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of Nursing Assistants to ensure a high level of quality care is maintained
  • Responsible for admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, ensuring a smooth transition process
  • Keep physicians and other healthcare professionals informed of changes in resident conditions
  • Supervise Nursing Assistants and may supervise other nurses as needed
  • Attend a minimum of 12 annual hours of in-service education to stay current on best practices
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN/RN program
  • Current RN or LPN license in Illinois
  • Recent clinical experience, education, and specialty skills specific to geriatrics
  • Ability to work with the senior population and provide compassionate care
