Job Summary
At Bear Mountain Health Care, we are committed to providing exceptional care and services to our residents. We are seeking a skilled Activity Aide to join our team and help us achieve this goal.
About the Role
The Activity Aide will be responsible for developing, planning, coordinating, and implementing activities that enhance the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our residents. This includes creating a safe and engaging environment that promotes socialization, relaxation, and fun.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a variety of activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents, including games, arts and crafts, and exercise programs.
- Cooperate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure that activities are aligned with the individualized care plans of our residents.
- Monitor and report any changes in the behavior or condition of residents during activities.
- Participate in staff training and education programs to enhance knowledge and skills in activity planning and implementation.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a passion for working with older adults. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
