Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care and managing all unit functions during assigned shifts. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC oversees nursing care in line with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies the organization's mission and values to foster exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating admission and discharge processes to promote efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Engaging in continuous evaluation of patient care quality in partnership with the management team.
  • Collaborating with experts and managers to cultivate a teamwork-oriented environment that enhances outcomes and service delivery.
  • Embracing a patient-first approach and addressing service recovery when necessary.
  • Implementing nursing strategies to boost employee engagement and operational effectiveness.
  • Providing input on hiring, training, and development of new staff, and ensuring compliance with personnel policies.
  • Assisting with staff scheduling and managing labor resources in accordance with patient care requirements.
  • Overseeing inventory management and supply control.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse License from the Department of Health Professions, Commonwealth of Virginia, or a multi-state privilege under the Nurse Licensure Compact Agreement.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or enrollment in a BSN program within two years of employment, with completion within five years.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse is essential.
  • Proven leadership and management skills within the specialty area are required.
  • Preferred: Two years of experience in a Charge Nurse role within the specialty.

Work Schedule:
Full-time day shifts (12-hour shifts) with rotating weekends.
