About the Role

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital – Oklahoma City is a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation services, offering a comprehensive range of treatments for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify rehabilitation needs and goals
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes
  • Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve rehabilitation goals
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare teams to promote maximum benefits of care
  • Participate in performance improvement and program development activities to enhance the quality and effectiveness of rehabilitation services
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY)
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state
  • Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification
