Job Summary:

This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying Java-based applications using Spring, SpringBoot, JPA, JUnit, and Java design patterns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technology Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in one or more programming languages, vendor products, applications, data structures, and business lines.
  • Platforms: Collaborate with Infrastructure partners to stand up development, testing, and production environments.
  • Requirements Elaboration: Work with the Functional Architect to ensure designs satisfy functional requirements.
  • Data Modeling: Review and extend data models.
  • System Performance: Contribute to solutions that satisfy performance requirements; construct test cases and strategies that account for performance requirements; tune application performance issues.
  • Security: Implement solutions and execute test plans, mentoring other team members in best practice.
  • Standards: Be aware of technology standards and understand technical solutions need to be consistent with them.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain system documentation.
  • Familiarity with different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
  • Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalate appropriately.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Core Java, Spring, SpringBoot, JPA, JUnit, Java design patterns.
  • Bachelor's degree in technical/computer discipline or related experience required.
  • 5-6+ years' experience in Java application development, including Core Java, Spring, SpringBoot, JPA, JUnit, Java design patterns.
  • 3+ years' experience with Oracle RDBMS, SQL Query development, Stored Procedure development.
  • Experience with Eclipse, Git/BitBucket, Maven, Jenkins, HiPAM tools.
  • Experience with RESTful API development, Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
  • Experience deploying to and configuring Tomcat application servers.
  • Experience with Agile development, including Scrum and Kanban, use of JIRA.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Experience with Camel is a plus.
