Position Overview:


We are in search of a Veterinary Assistant to become a vital part of our expanding team, providing outstanding care to our patients. You will collaborate with other skilled Veterinary Assistants and support our Credentialed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians in the daily operations of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Skills:
- Assist Veterinarians and credentialed veterinary technicians with appointments, preparing patients for surgical and minor procedures, and providing surgical assistance while proactively setting up for any necessary procedures or diagnostic tests.

- Safely and compassionately restrain animals.

- Accurately obtain vital signs, gather medical histories, and report any changes in a patient's condition to the Veterinarian.

- Collect and prepare laboratory samples, including fecal, urine, and ear cytologies.

- Maintain and care for all medical equipment, including laboratory machines, surgical packs, anesthesia machines, and other essential tools for daily operations.

- Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient updates and inquiries.

Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.

- Flexible availability, including some weekends and holidays.

- Familiarity with medical procedures and animal handling.

- Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage stressful situations while working collaboratively with a team.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
