About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of blood products for patients in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing complex laboratory tests and procedures to determine donor-recipient compatibility
  • Providing expert reference and consultation services to hospitals and transfusion services
  • Operating and maintaining a wide range of laboratory equipment

Requirements

  • ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or Medical Technologist (MT)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a blood bank or reference laboratory
