  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual external financial reports.
  • Contribute to the development of monthly internal financial reports.
  • Support the consolidation of company operational data for financial reporting purposes.
  • Design, prepare, and analyze management reporting documents.
  • Conduct ad hoc queries and analyses as required.
  • Research emerging accounting standards and unique operational transactions.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial reporting, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • CPA certification or CPA candidate status is advantageous.
  • Experience in public accounting and/or corporate financial reporting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and SEC filing requirements is beneficial.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.
  • Experience with Workday Financial Management and Workiva is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, innovative problem-solving abilities, and effective task prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with various management levels.
  • This position allows for remote work from a US-based home or local Kemper office.
