POSITION OVERVIEW

The Truck Driver role is a safety-sensitive position tasked with the transportation of aggregates and asphalt to various job sites. Drivers will encounter diverse situations and equipment while executing their duties. It is essential for drivers to operate their assigned equipment safely and provide excellent customer service. Daily inspections of equipment are mandatory, and any issues must be reported to the supervisor or mechanics.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

When travel exceeds 50 miles from the home base and requires an overnight stay, a generous per diem will be provided to assist with lodging and meal expenses.


Available Truck Positions:

-Belly Dump: Currently dispatched from Ehrenburg, AZ. Must be willing to travel.

-Dump Truck: Local position; willingness to travel is a plus.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with all safety policies and procedures, utilizing the appropriate tools and equipment for each task.
  • Exercise sound judgment regarding site access, unloading, and operations to and from the work site.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment; report any defects and necessary repairs to the maintenance department or supervisor.
  • Adhere to all DOT, state, and local traffic laws, rules, and regulations while safely operating all equipment.
  • Operate other heavy machinery and perform additional construction-related tasks as required.
  • Prioritize safety by complying with all DOT and company safety policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Be prepared for night shifts and weekend work as needed.
  • Extended out-of-town travel and work may be necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to speak, read, understand, and write in English.
  • A valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement or the ability to obtain this endorsement is required.
  • A valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate is necessary.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required.
  • An acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy is necessary.
  • Experience in asphalt paving is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
