We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Staff Pharmacist PRN, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Review and interpret electronic and written medication orders to determine clarity, appropriateness, and potential interactions.
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify orders and ensure accurate dispensing of medications.
- Supervise the preparation of patient medications, including controlled substances, IVs, and IV admixtures.
- Direct and monitor pharmacy technicians in proper packaging, labeling, and distribution of medications.
- Participate in drug therapy monitoring, including evaluation of potential therapeutic duplication, drug-drug interactions, and pharmacokinetics analysis of lab data.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory standards for patient counseling on prescriptions.
- Consult with and advise physicians and nursing staff on matters related to drug selection, procurement, distribution, and safe use.
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy and licensure in the State of Iowa.
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic typing skills and familiarity with computers and their functions.
