About the Role

Total Wine & More is seeking a skilled and customer-focused individual to join our sales team as a Cashier. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service by processing transactions, answering questions, and ensuring customers have a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their purchases.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
  • Verify customer identification and adhere to all minor policies.
  • Balance a register drawer and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to become familiar with Total Wine & More's products.
  • Assist with stocking and maintaining inventory levels, and communicate any issues to leadership.
  • Maintain store safety and cleanliness standards.

Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Experience using technology applicable to the position and access information necessary to complete daily responsibilities.
  • 1-year cash handling/cashier or store associate experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  • Value collaboration and acting as a team player.
  • Desire to develop knowledge of product and services.
