Acute Care Nurse Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our acute care team at MaineHealth. In this role, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and provide support to patients and families during times of illness or injury.

The estimated salary for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including paid time off, health insurance, and retirement plans.

Key Responsibilities

This position will involve providing direct patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care possible.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of one year of recent RN experience and a current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current BLS certification is required, and ICU, SCU, ED and PACU RN's require ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines. OB, NICU RN's require NRP Certification within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines.
