Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Carpenter to join our team at Franjo Construction Corporation. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to commercial construction projects, including maintenance, repairs, applications, and installations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with experience in working with wood and steel joists, as well as knowledge of GWB assemblies and code compliant installations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Hanging drywall and metal studs as required
  • Performing light finishing of GWB assemblies
  • Constructing interior building partitions under the direction of the carpenter foreman and/or superintendent
  • Performing window, door/hardware installations and minor roof repairs
  • Performing demolition work on project site
  • Safely erecting scaffolding systems for daily construction activities
  • Performing finish carpentry work, i.e., molding, trim work, casework etc.
  • Installing ACT grid, tile, and associated trims
  • Maintaining production quantities as outlined by the project schedule
  • Responding in an expeditious and timely manner to all work requests regarding carpentry expertise
  • Assisting in loading and unloading building material
  • Providing input on jobsite logistics, organization, layout, equipment, and manpower utilization
  • Cleaning project site and maintaining order with all tools and equipment
  • Operating equipment such as man-lifts, scissor lifts safely and as needed to perform daily activities
  • Having knowledge of foundations of structures for concrete pours
  • Constructing and forming grade beams, slab on grade, columns and panels, edge forms for concrete pours
  • Molding, shaping or forming wood or plastic forms to pour concrete
  • Performing clean-up procedures
