Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Lifeguard to join our team at Black Oak Casino Resort. As a Hotel Lifeguard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pool Area Management: Oversee the daily operation of the pool area, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.
  • Guest Safety: Ensure the safety of all guests utilizing the pool area through observation and enforcement of pool area rules.
  • Emergency Response: Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including aquatic emergencies, and administer emergency first aid as necessary.
  • Communication: Communicate with management, peers, and subordinates in a professional, positive, and consistent manner.
  • Sanitation and Maintenance: Perform daily routine chores and maintenance of the pool and splash zone to ensure sanitation, cleanliness, and a clean appearance.

Requirements:

  • Age: Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
  • Certifications: Must have the ability to possess and maintain valid Lifeguard certification, First Aid, and CPR/AED.
  • Skills: Ability to manage multiple guest services situations simultaneously, excellent safety and sanitation skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, often crowded/noisy environment.
  • Physical Demands: Must be physically able to perform all job requirements, including swimming 50 yards in 4ft. of water and retrieving a 10lb. weight from the bottom of the water.

Work Environment:

  • Work Schedule: Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Physical Environment: Must be able to work in a non-smoke free environment, work outside in all weather conditions, and be comfortable sitting and standing for long hours.
