We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Medical Assistant to join our team at Concentra. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ancillary testing and tasks, including vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing, and respirator fit testing, as ordered by treating clinicians.
- Conduct rapid screening tests, including influenza, strep, mono, glucose, and other tests.
- Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and performing required testing.
- Assist providers during examinations and treatment.
- Triage and disposition all patients.
- Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by the treating clinician.
- Dispense medications and appliances as ordered by the treating clinician and in accordance with state regulations.
- Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
- Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
- Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices, as well as testing processes used in the center.
- Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms.
- Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or facility is not operating as expected.
- Manage patient flow and volume, keeping patients informed of expected wait times.
- Responsible for clerical tasks in both the front and back office associated with patient care and proper record keeping.
- Ensure accuracy in documentation.
- Cross-trained to perform Front Office duties, including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, check-in/check-out, communicating wait times, and answering the telephone.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited school (credentials in the state of employment in accordance with state requirements and applicable regulations) or Military Medical Specialist with current Medical Assistant credentials in the state of employment in accordance with state requirements and applicable regulations.
- Prefer applicants who are conversationally fluent, can read and write in both English and Spanish.
- Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific).
- Previous medical office experience preferred.

This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the state range of $20.71 to $26.92 hourly, depending on job-related factors as permitted by applicable law.
