Role Summary and ResponsibilitiesThe Nursing Care Coordinator (NCC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing all operational functions within the unit during their shift.
In partnership with the management team, the NCC supervises, assesses, and enhances nursing care in line with established protocols, serving as a resource for staff while embodying the organization's mission and values to ensure exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate admission and discharge processes to optimize patient flow and maintain high standards of care.
- Engage in ongoing evaluations of patient care quality in collaboration with management.
- Foster teamwork by collaborating with experts and managers to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
- Uphold a patient-centered philosophy and address service recovery when necessary.- Support initiatives aimed at improving staff engagement and operational effectiveness.
- Provide input on recruitment, training, and development of new team members.- Recommend and implement strategies for staff management, including performance evaluations and compliance with policies.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor resources according to patient care requirements and productivity standards.- Ensure effective inventory management and assist in the oversight of supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Texas RN License required within 90 days for Compact License holders).
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing leadership experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
